Collection of Personal Information
When you browse our website, our web servers routinely record the name of your Internet service provider, the site you visited just before ours, the pages you look at on our site, your IP address, and the date and length of your visit. These data may be evaluated for statistical purposes but are collected on an anonymous basis, i.e. they are not linked to you personally. Your personal information is only collected if you choose to make it available to us, e.g. by registering with AET, filling out forms or sending us e-mails, ordering products or services online or asking to receive information or publicity material.
Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
We use your personal information for customer relationship maintenance and promotional purposes, such as opinion surveys, marketing and other communications, only to the extent necessary in each case. Your personal information is never disclosed to third parties outside our group of companies without your explicit permission. We disclose personal information to government institutions or authorities only if required to do so under the relevant national law.
Collection of Personal Information in our authentication service and mobile apps
Our authentication service and the mobile app are used by our clients (’Organisations) to identify and authorise you as an authorised user for the application or website of such Organisation. In order to use our authentication service and the mobile app, you need to register with the Organization. During the registration process will receive a User ID and an One Time Password from the Organization. We always advise the Organisations to use an anonymous UserID that doesn’t identify you as a user. When you use our electronic authentication service and our mobile app, we will process the following information: your User ID, One Time Password, PIN Codes and the names of the Organisations that you use the authentication service and the mobile app for. We don’t collect any (other) personal data and will use all data solely for the purpose of providing the authentication service and not for any other purpose. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of the processing of all the processed data, including, without limitation, against any unlawful processing and accidental loss and we comply with, all applicable laws and regulations regarding the processing of (personal) data.
You have the right to revoke your consent to the use of your personal information at any time, effective from the day you notify us. Just send an e-mail to the address given in our contact information.
In some parts of our website, we make use of “cookies” to allow us to tune our service to your requirements. A cookie is a token that a server can send to your computer to identify it – but not you personally – for the duration of your visit. Most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically, but you can also deactivate this function if you wish. Refer to the information provided by your browser supplier to find out how to do this. However, refusing all cookies could mean that you cannot take full advantage of our services.
