The AET Management Team is formed by:

Reinoud Weijman

Managing Director

Born in 1968, Mr. Weijman graduated in 1994 as an MBA. During his study he started a company importing and selling products for information security. In 1993 Mr. Weijman became responsible for the sales and marketing of the first commercially available DES/RSA PCMCIA encryption card in Europe, named Session Key. Session Key was one of the first security tokens using a standard API for application integration.

During 1998 Mr. Weijman started his current company, Advanced Encryption Technology (AET) Europe B.V. located in Arnhem. AET is a 100 percent Dutch company offering solutions in the area of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Mr. Weijman, together with his partner and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Mr. Jan Rochat, established AET as a company hired exclusively by Fortune 500 companies "to make PKI work for them".

Mr. Weijman's focus is on a providing practical solutions rather than theory. As a result of this Mr. Weijman is consulted regularly about "strategy and tactics" for a successful deployment of PKI and e-commerce. AET has a lot of know-how and practical experience in the area of the integration of smart cards and other tokens within (PKI aware applications) using industry standard.

Jan Rochat

Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Jan Rochat is chief architect of the SafeSign project, building the middleware that ensures that applications using a PKCS#11 interface (such as Netscape Communicator) or a CSP (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer) become PKI-aware.

Mr. Rochat is also working as an advisor for several security projects aimed at establishing and rolling out PKI-based technology (Secure Web, VPN, Secure E-mail) and projects with the purpose of implementing middleware on the client side (including a PKCS#11 implementation conforming to the German ‘Digitaler Signatur’ legislation and a PKCS#11, CSP that conforms to the Identrus specification).

John Bukman

Chief Financial Officer

Born in 1950, Mr. Bukman graduated in 1984 as an MBA. During his study he worked full time as a financial controller for several international Dutch multinationals. In 1986 Mr. Bukman started his career with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. In 1993 he was appointed as Vice President Finance for KLM Cargo. In 1997 Mr. Bukman was appointed as CEO of Cargo Service Centre (nowadays part of Swissport) the world biggest cargo handling organization. He sold the company end of 2001.

Mr. Bukman joined Advanced Encryption Technology (AET) in 2003 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  The entrepreneurial spirit and the potential of the technology introduced by AET were and are still the main drivers for this step.

Mr. Bukman's focus is to establish a solid growth model for AET, within a financial healthy framework, by supporting and controlling the free spirits of AET products and staff.
